Gujarat Titans have received a major boost ahead of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 season, with captain Shubman Gill officially joining the team camp. After an impressive run across domestic and international cricket, the young Indian star—often referred to as the “Prince” of Indian cricket—is back with the Titans and ready to lead the franchise’s push for another title.
The Titans will begin their IPL 2026 journey with an away clash against Punjab Kings in Mullanpur on March 31. Gill’s side will then return to their home ground in Ahmedabad, where they will face Rajasthan Royals at the Narendra Modi Stadium on April 4. Their early schedule also includes away fixtures against Delhi Capitals on April 8 and Lucknow Super Giants on April 12.
Since entering the league, Gujarat Titans have quickly built a reputation as one of the most consistent teams in the IPL. The franchise reached the playoffs in three of its first four seasons and famously lifted the trophy in its debut campaign in 2022. Last season was another strong showing, as the Titans recorded nine wins from 13 matches and finished third in the points table.
