The Zimbabwe speedster was considered one of the leading options for the replacement role because of his impressive performances and ability to deliver consistent pace and bounce.
Standing at an imposing 6 feet 8 inches, Muzarabani is known for generating steep bounce even on flatter pitches. His height and hit-the-deck style make him particularly dangerous in T20 cricket, where uncomfortable bounce can trouble even the best batters.
Reports also indicate that Muzarabani withdrew from his contract with Islamabad United in the Pakistan Super League to take up this IPL opportunity.
